If you are an avid movie viewer, we encourage you to sit down and do the math. Ask yourself:

What types of movies does Starflix have?

We stock over 30,000 DVD movies spanning 30 categories including; New Releases, Action, Adventure, Anime, Animation, Family, Classics, Comedy, Documentary, Drama, IMAX, Horror, Biography, Music, Musicals, Romance, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Special Interest, Sports, Television, and Thrillers.


Are memberships available across the country?

Yes. Currently we only service Canadian households with a valid postal address.


What does "unlimited" rental mean?

"Unlimited rentals" mean that every time we receive a movie back from you, we will send you the next available title on your list with out any restrictions during your subscription.


How does Starflix work?

Starflix makes it easy for you to rent DVDs. As a member, you can have up to 5 DVDs out at a time. You can exchange them for other available DVDs as often as you like. Whether you return them all at once or one at a time is your choice. You will receive new movies when you return each of the DVDs you've seen. With our most popular membership plan, members can have up to 4 DVDs out at a time. Starflix doesn't have due dates or late fees, so you can keep your DVDs for as long as you like. We deliver directly to your home via mail and include a postage-paid return mailer. We can also assist you in selecting movies from our large inventory of DVDs, based on rentals you and other members have made on our site.


Does Starflix offer a free trial?

Starflix offers a 2 weeks free trial, which allows you to rent 3 DVD at a time for unlimited rentals during the 2 weeks. Please take note that only one free trial will be permitted per household.


When does my free trial end?

Please take note that if you do not wish to continue your membership past the free trial, it is imperative that you cancel on line one day before the end of your trial. You will then have 5 days to return the DVDs still in your possession or in transit. Please contact customer service if you do not remember on what date your free trial ends.


Are there late fees or due dates?

With Starflix, you'll NEVER pay any late fees again. You can keep the DVDs for as long as you want and no one will charge you or hassle you...


Who pays the shipping and handling charges?

Starflix does. We cover these charges by providing a postage paid return mailer with every DVD you receive. Your DVDs will be sent to you via mail. When you are finished watching a DVD, simply put it in its return envelope and mail it back to us. We will then send you your next available title. Shipping both ways is on us; we guarantee that there aren't any extra charges. Please note that the postage-paid return mailer is placed inside the envelope that you receive your DVDs in.


How much does it cost to become a member?

Our most popular plan, 4 at-a-time (Unlimited), is $28.95 plus any applicable tax per month. Click here to learn about other available plans. There are no additional charges. There are no late fees or due dates - even shipping is free both ways!


What forms of payment does Starflix accept?

Starflix accepts Visa & MasterCard credit cards. All accounts must be secured by a valid credit card (VISA, MasterCard).


How many movies can I add to my StarList (the list of movies I want to view)?

Your DVD title request list can include up to 40 titles at a time. We suggest you have at least 20 movie titles on your list. This ensures that we always have a current list to draw from and that we send the right DVDs and movie titles you want to watch.


How do I select the DVDs I would like to view?

After you complete our sign-up process, you can create a list of movie titles you want to watch by adding them to your personal StarList. Choose any number of DVDs you'd like to view from our large collection - we recommend that you choose at least 20 to start. Just browse through our movie titles or check out our recommendations, then click the "Add" button to include your selections on your movie title request list. You don't have to do anything else.

If you wish certain titles to be shipped to you before others, tag these in numerical order, #1 being the highest priority, using the drop-down menu located to the left of the titles you have selected in your StarList. Then click the "update" button to update your priorities. We will ship the first title we have available from the priority that you designated. Be sure to update your list frequently so we will always know which great titles to ship to you!


How are my DVDs shipped?

Shipping is on us! Starflix ships your DVDs and movies for FREE via Canada Post. We cover these charges by providing a postage paid return mailer with every DVD you receive. Our packaging also includes a durable DVD sleeve to protect your movie. When you are finished enjoying your selection, simply slip it into the return mailer and drop it in the mailbox at your convenience.


Can I cancel my Starflix membership at anytime?

Yes. Starflix membership does not have any commitments, so you can easily cancel at any time. Our website is available online 24 hours a day and we do not have cancellation fees. Your account will be cancelled as soon as all outstanding DVDs are returned to us. Starflix allows 5 days from your cancellation date to return outstanding DVDs. Failure to return them will result in charges to your credit card of your membership fees plus any applicable tax (es) until the DVDs are returned to us.


How do I cancel my membership?

Simply click on the cancellation link in your account and follow the instruction.


What do I do if I receive a broken DVD?

Please mark the DVD as damaged and return it back to us. If you wish to view the same DVD, please reenter the title on your Star list and contact customer support. We will send you another DVD as soon as we can. To contact customer support please click here.


What happens if a DVD gets lost?

If a DVD does not get to you or if it does not correspond to what you had ordered, please notify customer support as soon as possible so we can resolve the problem rapidly. To contact customer support please click here.


How many DVD can I send in one envelope?

Only one DVD can be returned per return envelope. NEVER PUT MORE THAN ONE DVD IN THE SAME RETUNR ENVELOP.


What do I do if I misplaced the returned envelope?

Please return the DVD back to us at your own charge and contact costumer support. To contact customer support please click here.


How do I change membership plans?

Go into your personal account click on the "edit account" button and make the appropriate changes. The changes will be effective on your next billing date.


What happens if I forgot my password?

Go to member sign in page and click on "forgot my password" link or contact customer support.


How can I suggest a movie?

Send us an e-mail at support@starflix.com or click on "suggest a movie" tab when browsing our catalogue.


What happens if I can’t connect?

Make sure that your e-mail address and password are entered correctly. If the problem persists, please contact costumer support.


Can I add a movie in my list that is not out yet?

Yes, it will be marked as pending release until it becomes available. Please make sure that you have at leased 10 titles of movies already released in your list to ensure prompt shipping.

How can I redeem my gift certificate?

If you have received a Starflix Gift Subscription, please go to our main page and enter your redeem code in the redeem box at the top right corner of the page.

Once on the activation page, please enter all the necessary information for shipping. Please take note that you will need a valid payment method to redeem the membership, which is used to verify account information, to ensure identity, to provide security for the shipped discs and to allow an easy transition to the paid service upon the conclusion of the Gift Subscription period.


If I go on vacation, can I put my membership on hold?

Just cancel your membership and reactivate it when you come back.


How can I reactivate my membership?

Just click on Start now, put in your name and e-mail address and the system will ask you if you want to reactivate.
